Saturday Snapshots Week Five

Sharing is caring!

On this rainy Saturday, it makes me remember hearing โ€œno rain, no rainbowโ€ on a Hallmark movie. I tried to find if it was credited to someone, and I couldnโ€™t find one definite author. But to me the quote should be โ€œno rain, no pollenโ€ Whoโ€™s been suffering with allergies besides me?

Spring time is here in Tennessee for us, no lows below 45 with as high as 81. Time to think of your outside areas and digging in the dirt. I plan on getting some of my favorite herbs to plant on the patio this weekend.

In Case You Missed It

ICYMI this week, I shared a couple of travel posts and a new favorite recipe.

I love learning new things such as the history of LEONTYNE PRICE, from Laurel, MS, a Black woman to achieve success in the Opera world, including being the first in a televised Opera.

Did you know thereโ€™s and INTERNATIONAL TOWING & RECOVERY MUSEUM? There is, and itโ€™s right here in Chattanooga. It was really interesting learning about how the first tow truck was made right here and still many are manufactured.

SALSA โ€“ who loves it? Iโ€™m not sure I know anyone who doesnโ€™t. Thereโ€™s a super quick recipe to make, use as many or no peppers.

Is travel in your future?

Are you starting to travel again, or maybe Covid didnโ€™t slow you down. Iโ€™m in the process of getting ready for a trip to Gulf Shores in a few weeks, a long road trip through Texas and Iowa. Yes, thereโ€™s a lot to do in Iowa and canโ€™t wait to share.

What is fun to share this week:

New recipes to try

Getting ready for Spring with plants

Fun crafts and DIY

Letโ€™s see what my friends have for you. I hope you visit their sites. And even follow them.

PLANTING LAVENDER IN CONTAINERS from The Everyday Farmhouse

ORANGE CUPCAKES FROM SCRATCH from What Meegan Makes

BIRD THEMED TABLE CENTERPIECE from Virginia Sweet Pea

UPDATING KITCHEN HARDWARE from Do Dodson Designs

MAKING A FABRIC COVERED CLAY POT from Blue Sky at Home

Whatโ€™s your plans for the week? If the pollen cooperates, a little spray painting outside, trying a couple new recipes, and planning a road trip.

Next week on the blog:
A new hotel opens in Chattanooga
Teriyaki Chicken in the Crock Pot
Driving at Porsche Driving Experience

I hope you have a wonderful week and maybe you are also enjoying some Spring type weather where you live.

  1. I really like when you share your travels and adventures. I haven’t ever been to the Gulf Coast, so I am excited to see your trip. My traveling hasn’t slowed down at all. If anything, I have had a chance to travel more-especially since my husband got furloughed a year ago.
Thanks so much for sharing my Orange Cupcake Recipe. It’s been in my family for years and years. I hope you get a chance to make them soon.
    Have a wonderful Saturday!

    1. We still traveled a bit, but with so many things closed, we did cancel a few trips. And the Gulf Shore trip last year got canceled twice because of hurricanes. My goal is to make them.
