Walnut Chocolate Chunk Cookies
I’m always amazed that more people don’t use walnuts in their desserts. Pecans are a big one used but people tend to overlook walnuts. Trust me on this one…you shouldn’t. Walnuts are delicious and add so much flavor! But, if you just have to, pecans would work fine too.
What if I use salted butter instead of unsalted butter?
It’s actually fine if you have to use salted butter. If you use salted butter when the recipe calls for unsalted butter, just omit the added salt that is listed on later in the ingredients. This way you won’t have double the salt in your cookies!
More than likely, you’re going to have some cookies leftover after you bake them in the oven. To keep your cookies as fresh as possible, store them in a container with a lid and keep it as air-tight as you can.
This will keep the cookies fresh and tasty and ready for round 2!
