What makes brownies fudgy vs cakey?

The best to make brownies fudge vs cakey is to have a higher fat vs flour content. You’d want to add more butter and chocolate to make a fudgy texture for your chocolate peanut butter brownies. These brownies made from scratch are fudgy in texture, so no need to adjust the ingredients.

Why are my brownies too fudgy?

Sometimes your chocolate peanut butter brownies may be too fudgy if you cut into them before they cooled after baking. Consider allowing your brownies made from scratch to cool to room temperature before cutting into them. Many people prefer to wait 2-4 hours before cutting into their brownies to have a firmer texture to their chocolate peanut butter brownies.

How do you know when fudgy brownies are done?

The best way to know when you’re chocolate peanut butter brownies are done is to put a toothpick in the center of the brownies. When your toothpick comes out clean, the fudgy brownies are done.

How long leave brownies before cutting?

As I stated above, some people wait 2-4 hours before cutting into their brownies. Since I know waiting 2-4 hours for fresh homemade brownies is difficult, you can leave brownies at room temperature on a cooling rack for half an hour. This half hour will allow the chocolate peanut butter brownies to cool enough for proper cutting.

Once you’re chocolate peanut butter brownies have cooled and been cut, it’s time to serve them as a special dessert or treat for family or guests.

Should I refrigerate brownies?

Now that you’ve made your chocolate peanut butter brownies you might be wondering how to store your leftover brownies. These brownies can be stored at room temperature, but can be placed in a sealed airtight container to store in the fridge. Brownies will last about one week at room temperature in a container with a lid.
