The Art of the Mimosa: Balancing Sweet and Bubbly
For a perfect Apple Cider Mimosa, you have to have a champagne glass or flute. I have included a few links below in a variety of price points. Or, did you know you can pick these up at Dollar Tree? I love keeping a few of these cheaper versions on hand for gifts of a picnic basket or going away gift.
Champagne comes in all price ranges โ very cheap to very, very expensive. Choose your favorite brand. Even consider Prosecco if you like it for a Mimosa.
Hints & Tips:
For a little more flavor and garnish, use a little cinnamon sugar to rim your glasses before making the Mimosa.
Sparkling Cider is recommended for a clear drink, but if you love a more apple taste, use fresh apple cider. It will turn our a bit darker and have less bubbles.
It is better to make these as you serve them so they wonโt go flat.
If you are making for a group, you can mix a batch of the champagne and apple cider in a pitcher immediately before serving. Pour into the glasses then garnish.
Pour the champagne into the pitcher or glass first so it mixes together on itโs own.
If you prefer a more apple taste, adjust an extra ounce of apple cider, and one less ounce of champagne.
Or, just add an extra ounce of apple cider, and keep the same amount of champagne. You will figure out your favorite taste.
