Delicious Monkey Bread with Pecans

I have fond memories of eating monkey bread growing up. It was one of those delicious treats that made everyone want to get out of bed in the morning because it was just that good.

And this was a tradition that I carried on as well. We typically eat this on “special occasions” but now that I’ve realized that every day in life is special, I’m all about enjoying this any time, any day. It’s the perk of being an adult, right?

The good news is that this simple monkey bread recipe is made using dinner roll dough that you just buy at the store. This cuts down on a lot of work and makes it super fast and simple.

Why do they call it Monkey bread?

Weird name, right? But there’s actually a pretty good reasoning behind it. It’s called Monkey Bread because it’s a dish that you pick apart and eat with your hands, just as though a monkey would.

And who says you can’t eat with your hands? It’s not only delicious but fun to eat as well.

How do you make monkey bread from scratch?

The recipe would stay the same except for the fact that you’d be making the dough homemade. If you have a favorite bread recipe, make it up yourself and then go about the rest of the recipe.

How do you reheat monkey bread?

If you’re lucky enough to have leftover monkey bread, it’s fast and simple to reheat. Just pop it in a pan and put it back in the oven for about 5 minutes or so on 250 degrees. You can also use the quick method of reheating in the microwave, too.
