Most of these ingredients you probably already have on hand so it’s easy to mix up a batch to enjoy.  It’s easily made in the Crock Pot, but if you need it last minute, no problem.  Make it on the stove then keep in the Crock Pot to stay warm.

What you need to make a great Crock Pot Hot Chocolate

1 ½ cup heavy whipping cream
1 – 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
6 cups whole milk
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups chocolate chips – I used semi-sweet, but milk chocolate would work well also

Pour all the liquid ingredients into a 4 – 6 qt Crock Pot and stir together

How do I keep leftover hot chocolate?

If you do have any left, just store in a mason jar with a lid in the refrigerator.  Reheat it by the cup in the microwave, or a larger batch in a heavy pot on the stove.

It will still be delicious.  Use within 2 – 3 days.

Making a Cocoa Bar

These have become popular over the years in homes.  Pick out all of your favorite toppings, and even instant cocoa, and have it setting out.  Retailers are making it easier for you too with great ideas like pre-made cocoa bombs, peppermint spoons, and cute, tiny marshmallows.  I even found peppermint flavored marshmallows.

Here’s the one I have created for my family to enjoy.
