Lunch at Table 20 in Cartersville, Georgia

Sharing is caring!

I recently made a day trip to Cartersville, Georgia, just a little over an hour south of Chattanooga.  Along with visiting the Savoy Museum and Booth Western Art Museum, we found a local restaurant so we had lunch at Table 20 Neighborhood Bistro in the downtown area for a late lunch.

Finding local spots, whether itโ€™s for a great meal, coffee, ice cream, or a bakery, many towns, especially small towns, are packed full of hidden gems like Table 20.

Lunch at Table 20

You can make reservations online with OpenTable, which I did, since I didnโ€™t know how busy they might be on a Saturday afternoon of a holiday weekend.  When we arrived, there was plenty of seating, but by the time we left, it had got busier.  I always recommend reservations if available for any restaurant, or even call ahead seating.

We were quickly greeted and seated.  The menu had a variety of items from starters to steaks.

What We Ate at Table 20

Hereโ€™s what we ordered:

TRUFFLE FRIES โ€“ lots of pecorino cheese on top and roasted garlic aioli.  Served hot from the fryer, a very large serving, more than enough for three to share.

THE PRETTY CLUCKING GOOD โ€“ a fried, spicy chicken sandwich.  A favorite for Doug to order at Chick-fil-A, this was just a little elevated with the soft potato roll it was served on and the Sambal Mayo.  I will admit I had to look up Sambal but sounds like a chunkier version of Sriracha.  He loved it, but might be a bit spicy for me.

FRIED CHICKEN โ€“ perfectly fried and crispy.  The mashed potatoes and grilled corn on the cob had a great honey butter topping for extra flavor.

VERY BERRY SALAD โ€“ have you ever had chocolate on a salad?  I had not but as a chocolate lover, I knew I had to try it.  My apologies โ€“ for some reason, I missed taking a picture โ€“ bad travel blogger.

SEASONAL PICKLES โ€“ I love most any pickles.  The serving on this day was a mixture of vegetables.  Per the server, these can change daily on what the Chef has on hand.

We were so full from our great meal, dessert wasnโ€™t an option for us.  It wasnโ€™t listed on the menu, but Iโ€™m sure it had several homemade options.

A few more notes about Table 20 in Cartersville

There are picnic tables in front offered for outdoor seating.  It was a typical, hot July day, so we chose inside.

Located in the downtown area next to the train tracks and across from the train depot, which is the visitor center.

All dressings and sauces are homemade.

Drinks and cocktails are available from the bar.

Visiting Cartersville

Cartersville has a very cute downtown area, but it was extremely hot so I will have to revisit on a cooler day.  So many cute boutiques and shops to support the local economy.

What are some of your favorite local restaurants and places to visit?  You never know when I might show up in your hometown.

Look soon about our visit to SAVOY MUSEUM AND BOOTH WESTERN ART MUSEUM
