Holiday Movie Snack Tray
Day 1 of 25 Days of Christmas. The holidays are here and that means it’s time to start snacking the days away! Not only are the Christmas movies already playing but the holiday goodies and treats are lining the shelves at the store. This holiday season give yourself a break and create a simple and easy Holiday Movie Snack Tray.

Holiday Movie Snack Tray
Once Thanksgiving is over, it’s time to gear up and switch to Christmas mode. This is one of the best times of the year for snacking because I think that everyone gets into that hibernation mode and wants to eat. (or at least I know I do!)
But this time of year also means that the Christmas movies are aplenty. I could literally spend the entire weekend watching the Hallmark Christmas Movie lineup – and I just might! Then there’s Lifetime, Netflix, and new GAC. Thank goodness for being able to record them and watch when basketball isn’t on.
One thing is for certain. When I have a dessert board like this on hand, I have no issues wondering what I’m going to eat and enoy!
Ingredients Needed To Make a Dessert Grazing Board
- Popcorn, popped
- Candy Canes
- Candy Cane Kisses
- Rolos
- Gingerbread Oreos
- Gingerbread Men Cookies
- Holiday M&M’s
- Christmas Tree Cakes
- Any other favorite movie time snacks!
How to make a movie snack board for the holiday season
Place everything except popcorn, tree cakes, and candy canes in containers and position them on a serving tray.
Pour popcorn in open spaces.
Place candy canes and cakes on top of popcorn.
Snuggle in and let the binge-watching and snacking begin!
Other options
We tend to have those tins of popcorn around so this would make a quick addition to any movie snack board.
Make sure any tray you use is for food.
The round divided trays can be picked up for $1 at Dollar Tree.
You could set up bowls of any of the treats and let everyone make their own tray
There are no right or wrong options for your snack tray – it’s your treats
Hosting a Holiday Movie Night
Hanging out with family and friends and watching movies is one of the best parts of the holiday season. There’s nothing quite like putting on a show and then hunkering down on the couch.
The holidays present a great opportunity to host an epic movie night for your family and friends, too. There isn’t anything difficult about it and this simple dessert board makes it fast and easy to do.
A lot of the time the stress of cooking and baking is enough to make people not even want to have people over. But since this recipe requires nothing more than adding a few already made food items to your space, it couldn’t be more perfect!
All that is left to do is pick a date and time (and movie, of course!) and get started on inviting everyone on your list. You’ll love that all you have to do is minimal prep, no heavy cooking or baking, and you’ll be set and ready to go!
The best part about this easy holiday treat idea is that it’s literally zero stress for you. Once you make it and set it out to enjoy, you’ll get to join in on the snacking fun right along with everyone else. You can also swap out ingredients and change up the flavors and tastes, too.
This is all part of the fun and the perfect way to really make it your own!
What’s your favorite Christmas movie? Old, original Miracle on 34th Street is all-time favorite, but Elf is cute for a modern movie.

I need a movie night with the girls. Having a fun snack board would make it even more special
It’s easy to throw these together with what you have around.
What a cute idea! This would make our annual must-watch Christmas movies even more special…pinning!
Just grab what you have, put on a tray then you have a pretty snack.
I wanna come and watch movies at your house, Rosemary 😀 We normally open a packet of crisps and that’s it, but I’m going to have to up my game plan after seeing this.
I have a snack basket of things for this, or grab on the go.
What a festive tray ! I love showing off my food on pretty trays
Store bought treats even look better in a tray.
Yum Rosemary! I am so doing this. Not having a lot of company this year with covid but great practice for next hol gathering. Thanks a ton!
Who doesn’t love snacking while watching TV or playing a game.
