Everyone has a soft spot in their heart for cake, and this cake is about to take your breath away. Not only is it super tasty but it’s incredibly moist and fluffy as well. This is one homemade cake recipe that you’re never going to forget. Another idea for this cake, it’s great with strawberries and whipped cream.

There’s always the time and place for fancy cakes or desserts, but sometimes just a basic cake is best.

This reminds me of special treats my Mom would have sometimes when we got home from school.  And we always got to have a piece even before dinner.  What memories!

What is the difference between a sheet cake and a regular cake?

A regular cake is typically stacked layers, where a sheet cake is not. It’s long and usually rectangle in a 9″ x 13″ pan or glass casserole dish.  I normally leave these in the pan for serving as well.

Why is my cake dry?

If you notice that your cake is dry after you get done baking it, it could be for a few different reasons. The first is that it might have been mixed too much, causing it to become overworked and therefore, dry.

The second reason that your cake could be dry is that you baked it too long in the oven. Make certain that you’re paying attention to cook times and following them accordingly.
