The Art of Louis Comfort Tiffany at the Morse Museum
While known to the masses primarily for his glasswork, the art of Louis Comfort Tiffany is far more than stained glass. Throughout his life, Tiffany designed jewelry, made pottery, and painted in addition to his renowned leaded-glass lamps and windows. It wasnโt until we visited The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art that I realized just how diverse Tiffanyโs art really was.
Donโt think of this as a typical art museum but as a museum filled with beautiful objects which are considered art.
Exploring the Art of Louis Comfort Tiffany
Located in Winter Park, Florida, The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art houses the worldโs most comprehensive collection Tiffany artwork.
This massive collection features jewelry, pottery, paintings, art glass, and leaded-glass lamps and windows, including his famous chapel interior from the 1893 Worldโs Columbian Exposition in Chicago.
Their collection also includes art and architectural objects from his Long Island country estate, Laurelton Hall, giving visitors a unique and comprehensive peek into the life and artistry of one of the countryโs most famous artisans.
Tiffany was far more than just a glass artist, and I think itโs important for everyone to know that. While heโs known primarily for his gorgeous glass art, Tiffany was quite an accomplished artist in many areas, and touring his works highlights just what a creative genius he really was.
As you explore his pieces, youโll find that his creativity stretches far beyond glass, and thatโs what makes this collection so magical. Tiffany was an artist of immeasurable talent, and the museum highlights that beautifully.

I donโt usually post prices as they can change, but for a museum of this magnitude, a $6 admission price is low compared to most other museums you will find. And if you are like me and over 60, itโs only $5.
