Can you use frozen strawberries for this recipe?

No – you won’t get the same results. Fresh strawberries are best because the frozen strawberries are going to thaw and release quite a bit of liquid. Plus they tend to have a softer texture.

How do you store these Patriotic Dipped Strawberries once made?

All you need to do is store them in a container with a lid and place them in the fridge. That’s literally it. As long as you keep them cool, they’ll be good for 2-3 days without worry.  But it can also depend on the ripeness of the strawberries when you make them.  If they are damp or too ripe, it’s best to make them the day of the event.

Ingredients needed to make these Patriotic Dipped Strawberries

  • 1 pound strawberries, washed and dried
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips or vanilla almond bark
  • Patriotic sprinkles
  • Blue sprinkling sugar

How to make Patriotic Dipped Strawberries 

Melt white chocolate according to package directions or in the microwave  stirring every 15 seconds to avoid scorching the chocolate.

Dip strawberries into chocolate and then place on waxed or parchment  paper.

Immediately add sprinkles by dropping over the top of the wet chocolate.

Allow chocolate to set completely.

Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve (if not serving immediately).

Important tips for these dipped strawberries 

  • Water and melted chocolate don’t work together. Make sure strawberries are completely dry before dipping into chocolate.
  • Wilton Candy Melts are great to use also and they are available in a bright white color as well. 

Fun Ways to Share This Strawberry Dessert

Keep in mind that these strawberries are really fun to whip up and share with others as well. You can easily put a few in a little box and deliver some to your family and friends.
