What internal temperature should pork be at to be considered cooked?
A meat thermometer is needed when cooking porks and other types of meat so that you can ensure you’re cooking the meat all the way through. Once your meat thermometer reads 145 degrees, this is a good indicator that the pork is fully cooked and can then be removed from the oven.
Should cooked pork rest?
Yes, it’s always a good idea to let meats rest for a few minutes so that the natural juices can flow back into the meat. Pork is typically good to rest for 3-5 minutes and you shouldn’t cut into the meat at all during this time. The point is to let the meat rest and keep the juices inside to keep the meat nice and juicy as well.
What side dishes pair well with pork?
The great thing about pork is that it really does go well with anything. You can easily pair pork up with any type of vegetable, salad, or potato recipe that you want.
You can even use this Spicy Peach Salsa as a delicious topping to add to your cooked pork chops.
