This is The Easiest Pumpkin Dump Cake Made in a Crock Pot. It’s such as easy dessert full of warm fall flavors. Making it in a Crock Pot in just a couple of hours is even easier.
Fall is a busy season for the whole family with school events, sports, and getting out to enjoy those cooler temperatures, so this is a perfect dessert to enjoy. Plus your house will smell so good.
Ingredients for The Easiest Pumpkin Dump Cake
- 29 oz can pure pumpkin – not pumpkin pie mix
- 12 oz evaporated milk
- 3 large eggs
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice (see my recipe below)
- 25 oz box Spice cake mix
- ½ cup unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
- ½ cup chopped pecans
Easy to make directions:
- Mix the pumpkin, evaporated milk, eggs, sugars and spice together in the crockpot.
- Sprinkle the cake mix over the pumpkin mixture.
- Place the butter pieces over the top of the dry cake mix.
- Sprinkle pecans over the butter.
- Cook on high for 2 hours.
Scoop up a serving and top with your favorite ice cream or homemade whipped cream.
The pecans and butter create a golden, crunchy topping ready to finish off with some homemade whipped cream or your favorite ice cream.
Hints and tips:
Place a towel between the Crock Pot and lid to keep moisture from dropping into the cake
For serving, remove the Crock out of the base to keep the cake from continue cooking
The cake will remove warm for about an hour in the Crock
