One thing you may notice a little different about his recipe is not using Mascarpone but all cream cheese and sour cream.  Many prefer this taste and sometimes it’s easier to buy cream cheese, or like me, keep it on hand.

How To Make A Delicious And Easy Tiramisu

Who doesn’t love coffee while they’re eating something sweet? But with this simple dessert recipe, you actually have that coffee flavor inside the dessert. Caffeine and sweetness? Yes, please! 

The best part about making tiramisu is that you only need a handful of simple ingredients to get started. You’ll find out that once you make this easy recipe, you’ll be wanting to make it all the time.

  • ½ cup strong brewed coffee cooled 
  • 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened 
  • â…” cup sugar 
  • 2 cups sour cream 
  • ¼ cup milk – Do not use skim milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla 
  • 2 – 3oz packages of ladyfingers
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa

How to make Tiramisu

Combine coffee and liqueur, set aside.

Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth then add sour cream, milk, and vanilla and mix til well blended.

Place one package of ladyfingers in an unprepared 8×8 dish.

Brush with ½ the coffee mixture.

Top with ½ cream cheese mixture.

Repeat process.

Cover and refrigerate overnight or at least 8 hours.

Sift on cocoa just before serving.

How do you store leftover tiramisu? 

If you’re lucky enough to have some leftovers, I’m jealous! This means that you’ll be able to enjoy this delicious recipe the next day as well! 

Just be certain to put it into a container with a lid so that the air doesn’t get to it and dry it out. 

Does Tiramisu really come from Italy?

It does! This is why you’ll find it in most Italian restaurants and high up on the dessert menu. 

Does Tiramisu contain alcohol?

Ingredients

  • ½ cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
