Crispy Cheesy Cast Iron Hash Brown Recipe

Sharing is caring!

Who here loves hash browns? If youโ€™re waving your hand in the air, Iโ€™m right there with ya! But what I love even more than traditional hash browns is this Crispy Cheesy Cast Iron Hash Brown recipe. Because cooking with cast iron always adds such a great flavor and crisp!

When to Serve Hash Browns

For many people, hash browns are a breakfast option that accompanies eggs and bacon quite perfectly. And while I do enjoy them for breakfast, I actually like them for lunch and dinner, too. I love having hash browns anytime I have fish or even salmon patties.

The great part about this hash brown recipe is that the flavor and taste make it versatile for any time of the day!

Will the cheese stick to my cast-iron skillet?

Yes, thereโ€™s a chance that it might happen. For the least amount of possibility of having food stick to your cast-iron skillet, youโ€™re going to want to work with a well-seasoned pan. The more seasoning it has on it, the better the food will NOT stick to it during the cooking process.

My favorite cast iron skillets which I havenโ€™t inherited, is from an almost local company, Lodge Manufacturing.  You can find almost any size or type to fit your cooking needs.

Can you make this recipe in a regular skillet?

Of course, you can! I just really love the added flavor and crisp that a cast-iron skillet gives to the hash browns but if you donโ€™t have one, you can absolutely use whatever skillet that you have at home.

Are you ready for this delicious hash brown recipe? Youโ€™re going to love the taste and flavor!
