Easy Baked Cinnamon Apples
This Easy Baked Cinnamon Apples is so good to serve almost any time of the day. They remind of those served at Cracker Barrel which is a staple for breakfast and as a side dish, and some even order as a quick dessert. This is a quick recipe to throw together, maybe using any apples you have on hand.
What kind of apples should I use?
Most any apple will work, but I love using Granny Smith apples as they add a bit of tartness. Even using two different types will work. Itโs a great use for those last two apples you have in the fruit bowl.

- In a small bowl, combine the almond flour, melted coconut oil, and remaining maple syrup. Stir to combine thoroughly, then evenly spread the mixture over the cinnamon apples. It can even be pulsed in a food processor for a few seconds.
- Place in the pre-heated oven and bake until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender, approximately 25 โ 30 minutes. Remove from oven and cool for a couple minutes before serving.
How to serve
If you are eating as a snack or breakfast, they are great alone or top with some fresh fruit or granola.
As a dessert, your favorite Vanilla Bean Ice Cream is great or fresh whipped cream.
Some love raisins on any apple dish as well.
Notes:
If you donโt have almond flour, all-purpose flour will work also.
Using pure maple syrup has a better, less sugary flavor
