How do you store leftover pecan bars?
Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container. This will keep them fresh and delicious, making them perfect for a snack later. Warm about 20 – 30 seconds, depending on size, for a just baked taste.
The dish I have shared below is great for recipes like this. Bake in it, remove from pan to cool, then store in same dish.
Can you use dark corn syrup in this recipe?
You can but it might give it too sweet a taste. Some people make their pumpkin pies using dark corn syrup so you choose what you think will work best. This can be a personal preference.
What is the easiest way to chop pecans?
A food processor is going to be the fastest way to chop pecans, but you can also put them in a bag and use a rolling pan to roll over and break them up as well. Be careful in a food processor to not pulverize them too much.
If I want to make sure I have larger pieces, I just chop by hand with a large knife and cutting board.
Since they’re a “softer” nut, they’re much easier to break than other types.
I can’t wait to hear what you think about these easy pecan bars! They’re one of my favorite pecan desserts!
