I donโt have time โ who says this? (Hand raised) Well if you say I donโt have time โ you might, just find it.
We all have 24 hours in a day and how we choose to use it determines what we actually get done. Some may have limits on their time such as a 9 โ 5 job, commute time, kids activities, and other family priorities but finding those few minutes can make all the difference. Multi-tasking has been a catch phrase around for a while. Many things needs your undivided attention, but think about while sitting in the doctors office or car pool line, what could get done. Even reading that book you say you donโt have time to do.
But do you have time wasters? (Again hand raised)
Some of mine are:
TV
Checking phone, Facebook and other social media too often
More planning than doing
Playing with new apps or games on phone
โIโll do it laterโ
How do you waste time??????
Where can you find time to do things?
Did you know you can almost unload the dishwasher while coffee is being made? Try to run it the night before, then unload it first thing. As your day goes along, itโs easy to put dirty dishes in the dishwasher and not let them pile up in the sink.
If watching TV, donโt watch commercials. Do something.
As once said,
I heard that once and itโs always stuck with me.
Even while watching some of your favorite shows, hereโs a few things to keep in mind.
On your laptop:
make your shopping list
go through old emails
answer emails
organize and edit pictures
check your calendar
On your phone
Organize pictures
Delete apps not used
Do updates
Make some lists of jobs to be done. What will take only 5 or 10 minutes?
Go through old mail
Pay a bill
Make a phone call
Put in a load of laundry
Unload or load dishwasher
Take out the trash
Another way โ although maybe not the most popular โ get up a little earlier. Think about those jobs that only take 5 โ 10 minutes, think about how many you could get done without any interruptions first thing of the morning.
Maybe this would be a great time too if you want to expand on your personal time. Reading a book, doing a bible study, doing an on-line course.
Getting up just 12 minutes earlier each day gives you an extra hour of time in the week. Would you really miss that 12 minutes of sleep?
If thereโs always a hustle and bustle in the morning, this 12 minutes of quite time can be a refreshing start to the day.
You will see a lot more posts this year about as my husband says โget your act togetherโ as in more planning, decluttering, and organizing.
Feel free to always give me your best hints and tips and Iโll do a round up of them.
Iโve included affiliate links to Amazon for you to find some products easier. I may receive a small commission, but the price is the same for you. It just helps my blog out.

Do you ever have a place in your home that was just never quite right? Mine was the wall at the end of my hallway. Many things have been placed there, hung, and even painted, but I never felt it was right, until now. Please don’t judge – this was the latest try. Cheap…
What does it mean to you? It’s a clean slate, 366 days of a blank book, start new – that’s just a few of the cliches’ you may hear about a new year. All of those can work but then you may start to think about important dates this coming year. Is there a…
OK โ admit it โ who really likes to clean? Well, maybe a few of you might but I hate it. Sometimes though it is more fun when you do the cleaning, and I mean those things you put off and hope the cleaning fairy will come by to visit, and see great results…
As part of my front porch makeover, I needed new pillows. I had a couple I had picked up at Goodwill but needed a few more. After a trip to the fabric store to get fabric, I was actually lucky enough to find three on sale for only $7.99 each, which was as cheap (or…
Who needs to get motivated to start spring cleaning? Every spring, we go through the same routine: sorting through old clothing, getting rid of clutter, and dusting. Does it excite you? Probably not. Spring cleaning is a necessary evil, and it can be difficult to get motivated to begin it. Why? Well, for starters,…
